Austin got a hold of a brand new paring knife and cut his finger January 27. He had to get about seven stitches. After the doctor was done stitching him up, I asked him what he had learned. He said, "Don't play with knives, just guns." We reinforced it was TOY guns he could play with. :) He's been great and hasn't complained once since we left the hospital.
