We met with Dr. Shepherd today at GPRMC in NP (wow, that's a lot of letters). Austin was doing great and all his vitals, etc. were normal, so Dr. Shepherd didn't feel it was necessary to admit him. We are staying at the Ramada tonight and going back to the hospital tomorrow for an EEG. We should have the results tomorrow as well. The hard part...he (meaning we) only gets to sleep 4 hours tonight, from 2 - 6 a.m. He has to sleep for part of the EEG, so he needs to be tired.
Dr. Shepherd said seizures are not at all harmful unless they last over 15 minutes, and Austin's have only been 2 or 3 minutes, so that's comforting. There will be no permanent brain damage or anything like that. We're gonna try to get a nap in before the long night! Keep praying! Thanks!
