The past few days have been good for the most part. Austin's had some absence seizures in the mornings, but during the day he's fine.
Dr. Shepherd called this morning, and the EEG shows that Austin has epilepsy, a seizure disorder. He has to have a blood test on Monday to check how the medicine is affecting his blood levels. Dr. Shepherd will then get back to us concerning treatment, (increasing or decreasing medicine, changing meds, etc.) No additional treatment should be necessary. He'll be on the medication for 2 years, and then taken off to see how he reacts without it. It's highly possible that he'll outgrow this. Let's pray that's the case.
