Chadron is not my friend.

To make a VERY long story short (but not really that short)...

Went to Chadron on Thursday for teacher interview day on Friday. All of my short stays in Chadron have been less than pleasurable, this one was no different. I'm counting on graduation to change this pattern.

On the way, contact ripped so only had one good eye.

Rented a guest dorm room with a friend to save money. NOT WORTH IT...AT ALL!!!!!!!!

Woke up to snow, lots and lots of snow, was sure I was going to be stranded.

Went to teacher interview day.

Day got better...

Talked with Benkelman about several elementary openings! Will be called for a formal interview next week!

Dr. Meyer called the Chadron Vision Center to get me a contact! They gave me 2, just in case.

Drove home. Snow was bad. Roads were good.

Drove through snow, sunshine, rain, sunshine, rain, sunshine.

Back to bad and even worse...

Fuel light came on, barely made it to Ogallala.

Went to get gas, NO WALLET!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Tore my car apart looking for it, NO WALLET!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Cell phone dead, no charger.

Bought $5 of gas to get me to FV Coop in Grant.

Stopped at my grandma's to call places in Chadron where my wallet might be, no luck.

Drove 5 miles from Grant and fuel light came on again.

Turned around to get gas in Grant.

Went home, praying there would be a message that someone had found my wallet. No.

Called my discover card with whom I purchase Wallet Protection. They're monitoring all my cards and social security number for the next 90 days, and sending me all new cards. Good.

Plenty of cash and Wal-Mart gift card in my wallet. Bad.

Woke up with bad head cold. (Thanks Lacey.)
